Molasses is a by-product of the sugar industry and has been used in the animal feed industry for many years as a feed sweetner and source of energy. It is available in 5litre, 20litre, 200litre, 1000 litre containers or direct delivery into on farm 5 tonne-30 tonne storage tanks. It is a valuable supplement in periods of feed shortages or when a supply of energy is required in the diet such as in cold and wet conditions. Ensure that animals have a supply of fibre available when feeding molasses to avoid accidosis.
