The feeding of quality, cost effective supplementary feeds to livestock in recent years has become an increasingly more acceptable means to increase animal and farm productivity and ultimately economic returns.
Premier Stockfeeds is committed to providing, at the most competitive value in today’s market, a selection of quality supplementary feeds either in meal or pelleted form, sourcing a range of imported feeds suitable for purchasing in bulk and producing products specifically to assist the calf rearer, dairy farmer and livestock producer.
Our products are all made to order with the commitment of being as fresh as possible when supplied to the purchaser, however, that does not mean that there is an unacceptable delay between ordering and receiving product. Our aim is to have your order delivered onto farm within 5 working days of ordering, subject to normal freighting delays. To assist with this objective we have a team of agents covering the southern North Island who can be contacted to discuss your requirements and to take your order (click on an agent in your area listed in the column to the left of the screen).
We are also committed to providing sound nutritional advice based on experience or with the assistance of highly respected nutritionists such as Chris Walley B.Agri.Sc and Natalie Gibson B.Agr.Sc of Vitec Nutrition when necessary.
Using our Keenan Mixer we are able to mix high quality, competitively priced, calf feeds containing chaffed lucerne hay to aid in rumen development and high levels of molasses to aid in palatability and a range of dairy feeds formulated for specific seasonal requirements. Feeds for the dairy herd or young stock can also be mixed to individual requirements and include any specific minerals or additives required.

Tony Waugh, owner and manager, established Premier Stockfeeds in 1998 after spending 30 years dairy farming in the northern Manawatu, which included the development of a 750 cow conversion dairy unit. He offers you a wealth of dairying and calf rearing experience plus information, gained from an ongoing quest for knowledge through attendance at seminars and study of animal nutrition, geared towards maximising your farm profitability.
Much of the information gained from seminars and studies are passed on in the newsletter ‘Feed Sense’ sent to clients on a regular basis.
